The Manifesting Generator

Let it be said. A Manifesting Generator is not a separate type. They are a subtype of the generator type. There are 4 aura types in Human Design. Not 5.

What are the differences between a Manifesting Generator and a Generator?

Both have an aura that attracts life, which is open and enveloping.
Both have a strategy of waiting until they have responded.
Both have either emotional or sacral authority.
Both are designed to work at what they love.

An MG has the throat connected to a motor center and the sacral defined. This can happen in many different ways. A Generator will have the sacral defined and can have its throat defined, but it will not have a motor connected to it.

MG can experience the signature theme as a mixture of feeling satisfied and peaceful. They may experience the not-self theme of both frustration and anger.

They work faster than a generator. Where a generator is more concerned with taking things step by step, an MG will find shortcuts and jump from steps 1 to 5 to 3 to 7 instead of doing it one step at a time. But quickly find out if they have to circulate back to steps 2, 4, and 6 to complete what they are working with.

An MG can find themselves in situations where they change direction quickly and can work with multiple balls in the air. In contrast, generators tend to do better when they focus on one thing at a time.

MG's are multi-taskers and have the gift of being very efficient in their work; even if they skip a step here and there, they can juggle several things at once.

But an MG can also quickly find out that they no longer have a response to what they once started and choose not to finish it. This might not be the right thing to do.

They can quickly feel impatient, especially when they are interrupted in their flow or when someone else does not jump on their flow straight away, which can create frustration in everyday life.

An MG may find distinguishing between responding and initiating difficult and sometimes struggle to make contact with the sacral.

It is important for an MG to remember that responding to several things and having many balls in the air is perfectly fine. It is also perfectly okay to be a kind of "jack of all trades," and mastering one thing may not be what you end up doing.

However, I know several MGs who have become masters of what they work with, but letting yourself know when it is right to let go of something you started with is vital for an MG.

An MG is speedy and must allow itself to be so. Be who you are without feeling like you have to calm down. You are here to juggle, move, and change direction when it feels right.

Let go of the 35356 projects you once started but no longer have a response to complete - there's no shame in that. Maybe one day the response will return but don't worry about yourself because we live in a society that says you have to breed what you started.

And if you can delegate tasks, there is something to allow yourself to do. Remember that you don't have to do everything alone, even if you have the energy and ability to go at your own pace.
